Atatürk House Museum
Located on Tennuri Street in Cumhuriyet Neighborhood in the center of Kayseri, this building was built as a house by Raşit Ağa at the end of the 19th century. Between December 19 and 21, 1919, this building hosted Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who came to the city as the head of the Delegation of Representatives, and witnessed the struggle for independence. The exterior of the mansion, which is one of the most beautiful examples of the classical Kayseri houses that have survived to the present day, is covered with cut stones and wooden material is used inside. The roof ends decorated with wooden motifs and the lower eaves of the bay window are remarkable. The building was expropriated by the Ministry of Culture in 1978, put into service as Atatürk House in 1983, and on December 10, 1998, the second floor of the building was turned into Atatürk Museum.
